Recently I was faced with an issue where Integrated SOA Gateway web-services were not reachable from SOA. After doing all the basic tests(will cover in my next post) I had to enable log to debug the issue. Here are the steps and 2 ways of enabling logs for ISG.
a) Log on to Oracle Applications with the username that has the System Administrator responsibility access privilege.
b) Select the System Administrator responsibility from the Navigator and choose Oracle Applications Manager > Logs.
c) Click Log Setup to open the Java System Property Settings page.
d) Click the Site link and enable log for
Middle tier Log File Name: Enter the file name that one would like on the middletier, for example, ‘/tmp/SOALog.log’.
Module=Enter an appropriate module name, for example, ‘fnd/soa%’.
e) Bounce the oafm container.
Look for logs in the file specified in the Middle tier Log File Name field. In case one is not able to get the logs using this method try below method of getting the log from back end.
a) Telnet to environment and in $INST_TOP/ora/10.1.3/j2ee/oafm/config/oc4j.properties
Add following property at the end of the file:
b) Bounce oafm container using script $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME/adoafmctl.sh.
c) Perform any SOA specific action like generate.
d) SOA specific log would be created at : $INST_TOP/soa/SOALog.log
