In this article, we will see how can we create Role Membership rule in OIM which can help us with various business processes such as Access Policy Business Provisioning. 1) Login to Identity Console as Admin user; Navigate to Roles under Administration. Open the Role that you want to add rule to. 2) Under Membership Rules click on Add Rule. This opens the Rule Builder; Click on Add Rule. 3) Build the expression by choosing from Operand value on the right hand side. 4) Click on Preview Results Tab and you should see the Members added to this role as part of the rule we just created. Save it. 5) The role membership is not evaluated immediately. There are two buttons. When you click on Apply the membership is not calculated immediately. It will be calculated offline when you run the Refresh Role Memberships schedule Job. If you need immediate role membership evaluation , you need to click on Apply and Evaluate. 6) Apply and Evaluate 7) Click on Refresh couple of times and you should see the new users as members in the role.
